Workers’ Compensation

Tilson offers three tiers of workers’ compensation support:

Tilson Plan

Fully integrated administration is included as part of the administration fee. Employees covered on the Tilson workers’ compensation plan report their injuries to Tilson. Services include:

  • Tilson manages the claims and communicates with providers and carriers.

  • Tilson and its administrator negotiates and coordinates return-to-work plans and ongoing leaves.

  • Payments are collected per pay period, which eliminates up-front lump sum payment or payment plans.

  • There are no year-end audits for “true-up” payments in client-based coverage.

  • OSHA 300-A reporting is provided by Tilson.

  • Tilson is responsible for audits and renewals.

Client Plan

Not integrated with Tilson services. Employees covered under a client’s workers’ compensation plan report their injuries to client designee. Administration is as follows:

  • Client manages the claims and communicates with providers and carriers.

  • Client negotiates and coordinates return-to-work plans and ongoing leaves.

  • Payments are due up front and collected in a lump sum or payment plan.

  • Year-end audits are required to “true-up” payments.

  • Client is responsible for state specific reporting and coverage requirements.

  • OSHA 300-A reporting provided by client.

  • Client is responsible for audits and renewals. Tilson provides necessary payroll reporting.

Tilson Support of Client Plan

For an additional fee, Tilson will assist in the administration of a Client Plan for 50 or more employees. Please contact a Tilson workers’ compensation specialist for more information.
