New I-9 Form? The public continues to wait…
As my colleague, Julie, posted on our blog August 20th, the current form I-9 issued by USCIS, expired on August 31st of this year. However, there is, as of today, still no new/revised I-9 form to use when hiring employees.
In fact, the USCIS website hasn’t been updated in almost two months (early September), at which time it was both acknowledged that the current I-9 had expired, and that employers are to continue using the expired document until a new one is released.
We continue to wait with baited breath on an unexpired form...
